Terms of Service
Last updated: September 21, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of POPO, the AI assistant web application hosted at popsipopolo.com (the "Service"). POPO is operated by an individual operator ("we", "us"). Please read these Terms together with the Privacy Policy.
A private application
POPO is a private application intended only for two authorized adult users. It is not offered for general public use and is not a commercial service. There is no public signup and no public registration, and the application is protected by an access password.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are published without the access password for transparency and to meet Google's requirements for POPO's use of Google APIs, even though the application itself stays private.
1. Acceptance and who may use POPO
By accessing or using POPO you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Access is limited to the two authorized users who have been given the access password. You must be at least 18 years old to use POPO. Keep the access password confidential and do not share it with anyone: sharing it would make the application available beyond the people it is intended for.
2. What the Service does
POPO is a private AI assistant. It answers questions, can search the web, provides weather, places and route information, and can read, search, create, edit and export documents, spreadsheets and presentations that you attach to a conversation. Some of these features rely on third-party services described in section 5, which means that content needed to fulfil a request leaves POPO's server and is processed by those providers.
3. AI-generated content
Answers and files produced by POPO are generated with the help of AI models and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Check important information independently, and do not rely on POPO as a substitute for professional (for example legal, medical or financial) advice. Review any file POPO creates or edits before you use or share it.
4. Your content and responsibilities
- You are responsible for the messages and files you submit ("your content"), and you confirm you have the right to submit them and to have them processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Do not submit content you are not allowed to share, such as other people's confidential or personal information without the right to do so.
- Keep your own copies of important files. POPO is not a backup service, and deleting a conversation deletes its files.
5. Third-party services, including Google
POPO uses third-party services to provide its features, including Google services (the Gemini API as the primary AI model, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides, and Google Maps Platform), Z.ai's GLM models as the fallback AI provider, and a web search provider (Exa). Content necessary to fulfil a requested feature — which can include text from your files — is sent to and processed by these providers under their own terms, policies and retention practices. Your use of features that depend on them is also subject to those terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and a feature may stop working if a provider changes or discontinues its service. How Google Workspace user data is handled, including POPO's Limited Use commitment, is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Availability and changes to the Service
POPO is provided as an evolving, experimental private application. Features may be added, changed, limited or removed, and the Service may be interrupted or unavailable at any time, including for maintenance. We may suspend or end access to the Service at our discretion.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use POPO for anything unlawful, harmful, fraudulent or abusive;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' data, or the systems and accounts POPO relies on, or share your access password;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, for example by overloading it, probing it for vulnerabilities without permission, or bypassing its limits;
- upload malware or files designed to damage or exploit systems;
- use POPO to create or distribute content that infringes others' rights, or to harass, deceive or harm other people;
- use the Service in a way that violates the terms of the third-party services it relies on.
8. Intellectual property
You keep whatever rights you have in your content. You allow POPO to process your content only as needed to provide the Service to you. The POPO name, logo and the Service itself remain the property of the operator. To the extent permitted by law and by the terms of the AI providers used, output that POPO produces for you may be used by you, but you are responsible for making sure your use of it is lawful.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that POPO will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that files will never be lost. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, or losses resulting from reliance on AI-generated content or from third-party services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision. Continuing to use POPO after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
